1971- Olds 442

The Redline Hot Wheels Olds 442. Released in 1971, this casting is based on the Oldsmobile 442 muscle car and is packed with character. It has a bold, raised rear stance, hood scoops, and that unmistakable muscle car profile that makes it one of the more aggressive-looking castings from the early years.

The Olds 442 came in a wide range of spectraflame colors, and some of the rarest are truly eye-catching—magenta, antifreeze, and purple tend to get the most attention. It was also one of the first castings to feature a chrome plastic engine, which gave it even more shelf appeal. There’s even a version with a “cracked glass” tampo design.

This one’s always been a fan favorite and continues to be one of the standout muscle cars in the Redline era. Always on the hunt for more—if you have one, let’s talk!

If you or anyone you know owns any of these vintage treasures, feel free to send a message!
