1971- Bye Focal

The Hot Wheels Bye Focal is a classic die-cast model introduced in 1971, designed by Larry Wood. This model is inspired by a heavily modified 1970 Dodge Challenger, featuring an elongated front end with dual engines visible beneath a clear or blue-tinted plastic hood. Notably, all Bye Focal cars were manufactured in Hong Kong and are part of the esteemed "Redline" series, characterized by red-striped tires.

Collectors value the Bye-Focal for its variety of Spectraflame colors, including aqua, magenta, blue, light green, red, light blue, yellow, and the exceptionally rare purple. Some versions exhibit a unique variation where the engine's fuel injectors are absent, making them particularly sought after. Additionally, the model is known to suffer from "crumbling disease," a metal fatigue issue that causes the body or chassis to crack and deteriorate over time.
