1971- Pit Crew Car

Pit Crew Car—an often overlooked but very cool piece from the early 1970s. Released in 1970, this casting was part of the “Heavyweights” series, designed to showcase utility and service vehicles rather than the usual racers. What makes the Pit Crew Car stand out is its removable roof with twin

mechanic figures inside, giving it an interactive touch that kids loved.

It was available only in white enamel. The detailing on the engine and tools in the back adds to the charm, especially since it was designed to resemble the kind of crew support vehicle you’d see at a real racetrack. A fun and functional addition to any Redlines collection.

If you or anyone you know owns any of these vintage treasures, feel free to send a message!
